| First Year Ph.D. Students |
- Graduation requirement: 18 credits in total
- Required courses: 13 credits
- Required electives: 3 credits
- Electives: 2–3 credits
- Selection of Advisors:
This program adopts a co-advising system, consisting of one full-time basic science faculty member from the university and one clinical faculty member from the hospital.
Students must submit the "Advisor Selection Form" to the Program Office before the end of the first year of doctoral study.

| Second Year Ph.D. Students |
The required courses 【Special Topics in Research (I) 、 (II)】 are offered in the first and second semesters of the second year of doctoral study.
Students must invite their advisors to attend the presentation during the scheduled week to listen and evaluate.
The presentation content should focus on the student’s research progress. |

| Third Year – Qualifying Examination |
Students shall apply for the Qualifying Examination.
The examination committee shall consist of 4 to 5 members in principle.
Only after passing the Qualifying Examination may students apply for the Degree Examination.

| Degree Requirements |
The program requirements include:
- Completion of 18 course credits
- English proficiency certification
- TOEIC score of 650 or above, or
- TOEFL iBT score of 61 or above
- Participation in an international conference overseas with an oral presentation, and submission of supporting documents such as photos or invitation letters
- Publication of an SCI-indexed paper
- The paper must be published under the name of this program, and the on-campus advisor must be the corresponding author

- Completion of 6 hours of academic ethics training and passing the required assessment after enrollment, with proof of completion

| Application for Degree Examination |
- Advisors shall recommend 5 to 9 members for the Doctoral Degree Examination Committee. Committee members must currently hold or have previously held a position of Assistant Professor / Assistant Research Fellow or above.
- Accounts for the thesis similarity checking system must be requested from the Program Office.
- Applications for the Degree Examination must be submitted at least 14 working days in advance to the Program Office, along with all required documents.

| Graduation Clearance Procedure |
- Please follow the instructions on the Library and Information Services website for the thesis submission and review process.
- The month on the thesis cover must be revised to the month of graduation clearance, not the month of the oral defense.
- Thesis cover color:College of Medicine – Light Green/Apple Green

| Receiving the Degree |
As the Office of Academic Affairs requires time to print diplomas, students must inform the Program Office of their intended graduation clearance date at least 5 working days in advance, in order to avoid delays in completing the clearance process. |
