Instructions for the Qualifying Examination of Doctoral Students, Doctoral Program in Clinical Medical Sciences, National Sun Yat-sen University
【Before the Examination】
- Qualifying Examination: Students must pass the qualifying examination within three years of admission (excluding any leave of absence). The examination may be attempted no more than two times. Students who fail to pass will be dismissed from the program.
- Examination Subjects: Review and oral defense of the research proposal.
- To arrange the examination room, applications must be submitted at least 2 weeks before the qualifying examination.
- Application for Doctoral Qualifying Examination:1.Application Form (Print, sign, and submit the paper copy to the Program Office.) 2. Online Submission
【After Approval of Application】
- Relevant information about the qualifying examination and the research proposal should be emailed to the examination committee members.
- A printed copy of the research proposal must be provided to the committee members on the day of the examination for review.
【On the Day of Examination】
- The “Notice of Passing the Doctoral Candidate Qualifying Examination” should be signed and stamped by the qualifying examination committee members and the advisor, and then submitted back to the Program Office.
- The “Notice of Passing the Doctoral Candidate Qualifying Examination” can also be downloaded and printed from the Office of Academic Affairs :
